Depends on the file type,.....if it is an ISO you can either burn it as image on a CD or mount it using Daemon Tool.
If it is an exe file (and you haven't infected your computer with all sorts of viruses, trojans and other nasties yet, because of this exe file) you will have to install it. But that's like Russian R*oulette......just with 5 bullets and one slot empty......
