Unexpected quitting problems Whenever Limewire is opened on my computer, it will run for around 10 to 15 seconds and then "unexpectedly quit". This can be averted by opening the preferences pane for some reason, but if the preferences pane is not open the application will quit no matter what I try to do. I've purged my hard drive of anything limewire related multiple times and have re-downloaded the .dmg from different websites over and over again, but the problem seems to be native.
Limewire had run fine on my computer for about a year (that's as long as I've had it), but recently it has developed this error. It can connect, and remembers past downloads as it normally should, but the problem persists. Some more information for you guys: I'm running Mac OSX version 10.4.8 (Tiger) on an iMac G5 2nd generation (the one before the iSight cameras). The computer had a flaw in the... I want to say motherboard, but that's not it and I can't remember the name of the part right now, but the point is that there was a flaw in it. The problem resulted in the computer crashing randomly, having a jumbled screen, and random freezing. The part that was corrupted was replaced, and the computer has run fine since.
