In Mac OSX there's no "x" but there is a red button at top left corner.
To quit LW normally just use Apple command & Q keys (
⌘ Q) OR find quit command under the LimeWire menu next to the apple menu.
In osx when you quit, it simply quits, it doesn't go to the dock.
