Exactly, the Linux version doesnt contain any 'spyware'. So you're just taking away the ads (ads that they did themselves) which let LimeWire, Inc to make money for their efforts. I would suggest to use the LimeWire Basic version from limewire.com, knowing you're making a difference and supporting for future gnutella developments.
