You're best off port forwarding; go here & look under Dlink for your model:
http://www.portforward.com/routers.htm And save your settings.
BTW you WILL need to reboot your router to fully save settings & get them into action immediately. Also restart LW. And possibly reboot.
Oh ... and don't forget to disable your XP firewall; Go to the control panel, double click on Windows Firewall, check the disable box. Configure your McAffee firewall as prescribed here
