I had something very similar thing happen, only not in LW. It was in Windows Media Player!

Access application menus (small arrow in upper right) > Tools > Options > Privacy Tab

Uncheck 'acquire licenses automatically for protected content'

I'm not 100% sure this is how I did it, but I know I had this problem with WMP.
