Never tried it myself, but Pointman said that he got it to work.
I got it as Limewire scanning for which pieces are missing on start up. The Downloads.dat file has to be there, because it tells the program that the user is trying to download that file. With enough savvy you could probably edit the file yourself, but I'm guessing it leaves no room for error.
If you delete your incompletes, then start just one download. Download it until about half of it's finished. Now close Limewire and open the downloads.dat file using notepad (or mac equivilant). There sure isn't much info in there.
It really makes sence too, because if people with their 200 incompletes had info on every piece of every download in the downloads.dat file, then Limewire wouldn't finish working on start up. |
