A couch beats a computer chair anyday!

WinAVI will convert your files to DVD format, which you can then burn to disc. I use Nero 7 to burn to disc.

P.S. I would recommend previewing your DVD files before burning. Also, make sure you use quality media (blank discs). Among the most recommended brands are Verbatim and Sony. DVD+R is most widely compatible (check your DVD player specifications).

P.P.S. It is generally recommended that you burn at half the speed that your media is capable of, i.e. burn at 8X if your media supports 16X. When I burn, I always choose the slowest speed option, just to be safe...
