If you're losing connection when downloading try these:
Disable ultrapeer capabilities (tools > options > speed).
Disable iTunes sharing.
Reduce upload & download bandwidth a bit.
Limit your simultaneous downloads to just 1 or 2 & don't resume all your incomplete files at once.

Downloads that never start (show connecting & then right away need more sources) are often fake.
