Ok guys, I've had the same problems you are all describing but I've found a fix thanks to Grandpa. In a different thread he gave instructions to download the offline version of Java 6....restart the computer then download limewire and it worked perfectly. I have a "turbo charged connection" after days of not being able to do anything with Limewire. Hope you guys find this information as useful as I did.
