Vista and McAfee don't go well together at all and HeatherDianeR is actually correct in what she has advised....

If uninstalling java doesn't work go to start-control panel-under programs you'lll choose uninstall a program- find mcafee and choose uninstall. it will pop a box with different options to uninstall, go ahead and choose all of them. after that's finished limewire should work fine. you'll probably need to get a different kind of virus protection because evidently mcafee and limewire don't mix too well. Mick is also right in saying that you have to run Java JRE...So seeing you have that part under control try using Heather's fix, it has worked for many...
