windows xp comes standard with firewall. So not sure why you can't see it but might be due to viewing options. See these

Many high speed modems & routers have internal NAT firewalls. If you have configured your firewall & still get firewall problems then you need to find out about what equipment you have. We don't have esp unfortunately lol You can probably find out by calling Bigpond & asking what equipment they supplied you. I'd never do business with them personally lmao I hate them.
