This quote is post #6 of that Blank Results Page thread, with a link to instructions for deleting the preferences folder. Click on the blue link in the quote box. There's also a sample image included in the instructions, to make things easier to follow. Only use the instructions in point 3...point 2's instructions are for people who've used much older versions of LW. Remember that LW has to be properly closed before deleting the folder. Also remember that it's a hidden folder, so you'll have to show hidden files & folders in order to be able to delete it. All this is covered in the instructions, you'll see when you click on the link.
Your inability to connect at all now could be down to a few things... ISP, software firewall, firewall within router. But we won't be able to help you too much unless we know a few more details. Go back to post # 4 of this thread. You'll see a blue link titled "System details - help us to help you". Click on it. Then you'll see a list of 15 questions. Could you please answer those?
