You've been royally scammed by someone, but it wasn't LimeWire.
www.limewire.com is the only official site to download either version of LW. If you go to the site & click the 'get it now' button, you'll be sent to this page
http://www.limewire.com/english/content/download.shtml & as you can see, LW basic's free. You pay nothing.

The only version of LW that costs anything is Pro. That's $18.88 USD($23.37 AUD). There are no extra services to pay for. If you did choose to buy Pro, you'd be billed for that amount only...because there's nothing else to pay for

LimeWire doesn't have a 1800 number to call. There's no phone support at all. Pro users are entitled to 6 months of email support. Basic users can come here for support.

There are that many scam sites around, heaps of people get ripped off. But they're being ripped off by the scammers, not by Limewire LLC.
