I have the players I need. i.e. MPC with the XP Codec Pack and mPlayer
Haven't run into one unplayable file yet. Well I know what I download so that's not so strange
When you recommend new players, it would be a good idea to mention what's so special about it.
MPC and mPlayer can play (hmm everything with a proper CODEC pack?) and are standalone. They both use little resources etc. and are free as well. Oh and MPC can stretch the pic to fit your taste in every direction. Both can move the Audiostream to fit the video in case of a offsync release
VLC is not standalone, but is pretty good on resources and has all CODECs installed. It's frree as well and will play almost everything, but here is the downside. It will not use CODECs that are not built in.
Now again. What's so special about this new player???
