I too have had heaps of problems installing Limewire over the last week. My OS is Vista Premium and I assumed that it was a conflict between Limewire and Vista. I have read many comments in many forums and tried numerous things.

I contacted McAfee and they advised me to uninstall the spam killer and privacy service, which I did, and then I downloaded limewire again (and it actually worked from the online installer!) limewire is now working fine.
