Try uninstalling Java Make sure you uninstall all versions of Java and LimeWire. Then go to the link below and get Java 6 choose the
Java Runtime Environment (JRE) 6u1 choose the Windows Offline Installation, Multi-language and save it to your desk top. After saving install Java then install LimeWire.
This may or may not fix your problem. When your screen goes white / Gray it tells me Vista is freezing. What are your system specks.
CPU / Intel, AMID 2GH/z ?
Memory / Ram 1gig ?
What do you score on Vista 4.0, 5.0 ?
