Fantastic Reply - 6Pac Hello 6Pac: That is about the best and most informative answer post I have received in years. I have a big fridge, so drop in anytime. Many thanks for top-notch info and links. Just to trouble you a bit more; in my LimeWire 4.13.2 BETA, under Tools-options, BitTorrent is listed for various set-ups. I have never downloaded BitTorrent, but did set-up selects any way. Is LimeWire sort of the parent manager of BitTorrent like it is with Gnutella? Have never downloaded Gnu either, but assume I am using it, but not sure if I am also accessing BitTorrent thru LimeWire as well. Which leads me to 'Azureus', which your data told me bypasses the UPload shaping that ISP Eastlink is obviously using. Azureus 2.5 (latest) info says it works for BitTorrent, so not sure if it works for LimeWire too. Not going to download Az 2.5 until I hear from you. Please post reply soon so myself and others can see this fast-growing limiting/shaping by ISP's everywhere is a serious problem for everyone who wants to maintain a fair share ratio. The whole valuable concept is built on it. Again, many thanks for excellent reply. Regards, caseybob |
