As for ATI's and Nvidia's Drivers thats doubtfull maybe possibly along the lines of Nvidia Otherwise ATI's Drivers where stable on the release of Vista with the exception of 7.3cat, on the other hand Nvidia Claimed they had vVista rdy drivers but actualy never did they are still dealing with Beta for whatever reasons.

But even on XP the new cat drivers work fine so maybe it is a combination of Vista and the new LImewire.

This i could see because a previous version of limewire worked fine pre-vista release.

Now regarding the splash screen The splash screen goes by fine it's right after that when LW loads up the interface it just close's down, to be more percise it varies around the time the pop up comes up with the upgrading to pro or continue to use, sometiems i'm able to get past that pop up other times i am not, and it's not the pop-up itself, it just normaly shutsdown within 30seconds of loading.

as soon as i double click the .exe the splash screen comes up then after the the interface loads then somtimes i have enough time to click on continue to use his version and sometiems i don't. then thats when the whole program just shuts down without any errors.

Now the Video card/drivers wouldn't play a role unless there was something in the coding which was causing the vid card to crash or lock-up, but with vista's new ability to reset the video driver you rarely ever get any blue screen from video card/driver failure unless it's a complete lock up and the system must reboot

or the program itself, also this would moreso be a hardware/driver issue not relating to

but then again it would point to that specifi program, because if it's with Java in General then it would be either the Vid card, Java or the two combined.

This also wouldn't make sense due to so many other programs using splash screens that run completly fine, if it was something with splash screen it would happen more so accross the board but it doesn't.

there for it points more towards either Java or Limewire or a combination of the two.
