Default "Doe, a deer; a female deer..." (HI!)

GREETINGS, ALL!
As others have noted, I was "nudged" 4 times during the registration process to "introduce myself" so, as they say here in New Mexico, decided I'd "head 'em off at the pass" and get this over with.
After seeing the Beatles' first performance on The Ed Sullivan Show my life would never be the same.
Having "discovered" Dylan, Joan Baez, PP&M and Phil Ochs soon after, I was so affected by the power of Music as a force for Social Change, I traded my piano in for a folk guitar (much to my parents' chagrin) and became a singer-songwriter myself. (Hard carrying a piano to protest rallies!) Ah, the tumultuous Sixties!
In the 70s, deeply affected by the disparity between the sexes, I joined the Women's Music Movement and toured the US, raising money for the E.R.A., DV Shelters and R__e Crisis Lines.
Now in my 50s, while dissappointed by how little we've learned from the traumas of the times that *I* grew up in (I cannot believe we're still in Iraq--or even went there in the first place!) I'm encouraged by the "mighty roar" of dissatisfacton from the People in last November's elections... and by the next generation having apparently picked up the standard of Music and Protest "we" left behind as our legacy. (Have you heard "Dear Mr. President" by Pink?)
So that's a little of who I am, my fellow afficionados!
"Rock ON!" All you neo-hippies out there, ROCK ON! (And never forget, "If the People lead...the Leaders WILL follow!")
