I have Nero V5.5 and I burn a CD or two every so often, however Nero 5 only has a basic DVD burner, which was made before the advent of DVD/R+- or DVD/RW disk were available, back in April 2000. So it may not work as more mordern DVD/CD burners, such as Nero 6.0 or Nero 7.0.

And to tell you the truth, I have used Nero 5.0 to burn CDs, VCDs and SVCDs but never DVDs, I just don't know how they would come out.

I would strongly suggest that you upgrade your Nero 5.0 to Nero 6.0 or 7.0 because they have the modern DVD burning facilities in them.

As for Nero 5.0, it is no longer supported by Nero and you can't even download the user guide that was once freely available.

Basically, you are going to have to upgrade if you want to burn DVDs.
