You will be able to watch an AVI file on your computer but if your talking about watching the AVI file on your home dvd player you will need to convert the AVI file to a DVD file. You need converting and burning software. You can use Google to search for such software. The recommended programs here on the forums are DVD Santa and also Nero. I use AVS Media. If you are talking about the media player on your computer then you might try VLC player which has most codec built in and will also play AUD & Vid. Its a free dn/ld. Hope this helps.
