Check these posts: (a) T3 Spammers; mp3 Bit-Rates Versus File Sizes (click on link), __& also (b) Most Popular Songs R' Corrupt

Other than that, make sure you keep your hard disk drives/Partitions well defragmented. P2P programs tend to fragment them quickly.
