This is from that link First make sure that LimeWire is running, and then open the Control Panel by going to Start > Settings. Switch to Classic View if you are not already in that mode.
Double-click the Windows Firewall icon to open the settings.
If the firewall is off, then there is no need to continue. The Windows Firewall will not prevent LimeWire from connecting. If it is on, click the Exceptions tab.
Make sure that LimeWire is listed as an exception and that it is checked. Click Edit to make sure that the correct path has been specified. Note that if LimeWire is not running, you will not see LimeWire in the list unless you added it manually in the past. If no exception is found with the correct path when LimeWire launches, an exception is created. When LimeWire is closed, the exception is deleted. |
