CVS version of limewire So the CVS version for the source, doesn't have a sufficient list of IPs. Getting official release of "basic" running downloads some IPs. Feed it through tcpdump, and export the remote IPs on Gnutella ports. Remove ~/.limewire dir, and fire up the compiled version (from CVS). Then just start feeding it some of the exported IPs. The compiled version should then start joining the network. This helps because then I can use my old "pro" version on the Mac instead of using a crippled "basic" modern version - I just feed it a couple of the IPs i've discovered from the tcpdump.
So I guess my question is, what's the difference between the source code version, and "pro"? Or even pro 4.8 and current pro? |
