I had read somewhere else where the SP2 updates does cause problems with Ares ultra thus the reason for my questions. In either case I do have a Firewall and Zone Alarm. Both are configured to allow ares to connect freely. I have no problem with limewire or any other p2p program.

I remember Zone alarm was doing a scan and it found Ares to be have Spyware or virus. I think it quarantined the file, then my problems began. I reinstalled and gave zone alarm permission and nothing. Let me try to download ares galaxy as you suggested. Thanks for your reply!!!
