I had no trouble using bearshare on my old less powerful computer, so when I got rid of it I had to download all my songs all over again (don't ask why I didn't back up the music, I forgot ).

I installed bearshare and all fine but after a while, like maybe 30 minutes, it froze my whole computer and I had to restart. Now every time I use BS it freezes everything a minute into it and I have no clue why. I disabled the firewall, made sure no anti-X software was running, ran it in and out of compatibility mode for windows 2000 just to see if it made a difference, which it didn't. It freezes at seemingly random times and I run it alone with no other programs, and it only happens with BS. I'm at a loss for what to do, can anybody help me?

I'm using XP SP2 and was last using BS 5.2.1 from oldversion.com, but I've also tried 5.1.0 and 5.2.5 but that also has the same results.

Any help would be appreciated.
