Pissed off, I know how you feel. I had the same exact problem. Limewire has hundreds of entries and they are hard as hell to get rid of for sure. This worked for me: 1. Go to search for files enter limewire and search. ANYTHING that says Limewire delete it. Do this at least three times, and reboot between searches. Delete delete delete limewire!
2. Download a FREE version of Registry Crawler 4.5 [free for 30 days]. Enter Limewire in Registry Crawler in "type" and "register" Search and Delete every entry you can find. 3. If you have any registry cleaners installed [CC Cleaner or ect] run them. After you delete everything you can find, Reboot. Registry Crawler gets all the entries, even the ones that are hard to find. Try download the newest version of Limewire. If this still does not work, forget Limewire and download Frostwire, it is better anyhow. Good luck!! |
