I have the same symptoms as everyone else but I can't solve the problem. I've done the following:
1. Made sure ZoneAlarm has the port and the program exceptions
2. Used both Port Forwarding and normal
3. The modem/router has its firewall disabled and uPnp enabled
4. I've tried turning off Windows defender, exiting ZoneAlarm and have no other virussoftware or firewalls. When I do this I still get the brick wall symbol.
5. Uninstalled all Java and reinstalled Java 1.5 upgrade 11 as described in the posts.
6. Reinstalled Limewire.
7 After reinstallation I've deleted the preferences folder.
8. I have tried on all settings to put it compatability mode for XP and then take it back
9. I've tried all of the above on a second with all the same problems.
WHere to next?
