This is not true with Bearshare. Also, BearShare offers
adware, not spyware. There is a difference. But no matter what you call it, BearShare does not install anything behind your back. The adware is checked by default for installation, but you do have the option to
uncheck them before installing the program.
Not every gnutella servent can say that.
