What do you mean by "the library disappeared"? Did the files physically disappear form you hard disk? If that's not the case then you can simply create a new one by adding items to it. You can do that in the settings.

When you install a new version of the LimeWire application, the installer will delete the old version and with it all of you settings and preferences.
