1. Don't share more than about 1,500 files. If they are mostly video files then reduce it a little more.

2. Tip: Purge the Downloads Queue! (click on blue link)

3. Set LW to shutdown immediately.

4. You may be acting as an ultrapeer in which case the connections will be needing to drop off. Setting for this is LW prefs -> Advanced -> Performance.

But yes sometimes LW will "appear" to be frozen when it's not. But perhaps it is.
