Yes please I would like to see more info too. The current 2.2.4 version doesn't even show user IPs (Oh - I just figured out how), plus when a file is requested for download, what little info was shown disappears (eg connection type, num of stars)
These things should still be viewable when it is in the download window.
PLUS it would be very very useful to be able to right-click and see what client is being used, so that users can suss out whether there are particular clients with compatibility problems. I think there are, as many more of my downloads are successful now that I have switched to LW than when I was using gnut (I suspect because either some clients support proprietry queueing extensions, or just plain give preferential treatment to their own kind!) .. but gnut would upload a heck of a lot.
I found the following information is already included in the basic protocol:
Number of kilobytes the server is sharing.
Number of files the server is sharing.
Speed, in kilobits/sec, of the responding server.
Vendor Code of the responding server
flag for if UploadSpeed represents the highest speed of the last 10 uploads
flag for if the server has uploaded
flag for if the server is busy (all upload slots full)
flag for if the server seems to be behind a firewall
Could we please have at least these things .. at least as information, even if not as filters?
Pretty please? huh? huh? huh? |
