1. Check the songs before you burn them to be sure they play ok.
2. Try burning to a cd-rw, then try playing on your computer. Then on your dvd player if it supports cd-rw playing.
3. When doing the final burn onto cd-r, burn at the minimum speed the disk supports. Better still, if the above 2 points work ok, then try a more reliable cd-r brand. There's lots of cheap cd-r's out there that just don't perform very well. Especially those made in China or Taiwan.
4. Some cd players don't like high speed disks or disks burnt at high speed. Perhaps go for a slower speed disk such as a 1-16 speed disk (& burn at minimum speed) instead of those disks that can burn at up to 45 speed.
5. Your cd burner may have cd burning buffering issues. Check for firmware updates or else, don't use heavy cpu intensive programs whilst burning disks.
