You may need to reset your defaults for playing video files. I'm not sure how to do that on Vista, but other os's Setting Default video app. Also make sure you have a decent video player. We recommend VLC but if prefer using WMP then get the VISTA codecs; see them listed here CODECs list and alternate players for Movies
