Okay, I know this issue was briefly addressed in the FAQ, but that didn't help me solve the problem. I am running Limewire on a Mac, and I'll occasionally download a file successfully only to have it appear in my download folder as a useless "Limewire Document". I followed the FAQ's suggestion of shortening the file name (although it was already a short file name) and putting the correct file extension on the name (though that was already there as well). No luck--it's still a "Limewire Document". Do I have to do these things *before* I download? And why does it only happen with software downloads? I've never had this problem with video or audio.
