LW shows a firewall until a connection is made.

That being said, and since you followed jvg's good suggestions, the brickwall can also indicate a firewall outside your computer (like in a router or a dorm/school network).

Sounds like your machine is set up properly, so try talking to whomever controls other equipment between you and the general internet.
