Hi Carldragon

The problem could be almost anything - how is the help so far?

If you believe it's a Limewire problem, you can send an email to "limenathan". There is a link for this, but I'm sorry I have never used it and don't know how to attach it.

Birdy, if you see this message could you please supply the link to Carl.

I have a few questions / suggestions. As I don't know your level of experience with PCs, please forgive me if some of what I say is trying to teach you to suck eggs.

1. Did you download Limewire from Limewire's site? There are a few 3rd party sites around illegally marketing inferior versions of Limewire.
2. If you are using the free version try uninstalling completely and downloading it again. Many problems can't be fixed - you just have to start again.
3. If you are having problems with the pro version you should be able to download the registered version again. I never needed to do this with my registered version.
4. The problem could be with your PC's protection systems, e.g. Firewall settings.
5. Try another free P2P application to check the search function. If this works correctly it should eliminate Windows as a potential problem.
6. Reinstalling it each time must be resetting something. I can't think of any user settings in Limewire that blocks searches, so I keep coming back to a faulty installation executable.
7. The installation file could have been damaged during the download or something running on your PC during the installation process could be interfering with it. Try closing everything you can during the install, especially scanners.

Hopefully somebody who has had a similar problem will read your post and supply the precise answer you need.

Please post the fix to your problem so others can benefit. Thanks.

Good luck.
