You should never ever open a file that you don't know what it is, especially an executable. P2P networks are loaded with viruses, but they can be avoided if you use a little common sense.
Check the file sizes and don't d/load anything smaller than 2000KBs(2MBs). Keep your anti-virus updated and scan regularly. See
