This seems to be going forever ... please note my environment above ...

I have all firewalls turned off (a scary spot to be in, but I'm trying anything at this point).

I have replaced "gnutella.net"

I have "Port Forwarded" the port specified

Of the 5 bars (bottom left) only the smallest one appears to be connected. Any/all downloads bounce back/forth from "Connecting" to "Waiting nnnns for more sources".

I have deleted Limewire, re-downloaded it, re-installed it, re-replaced the gnutella.net module ... nothing.

Tried working with both the latest and previous Java

Is it possible to "chat" with someone to work through the problems? This has been going on for months ... and, during the process I wiped out Mozilla so now I have to work via IE which is disgusting to me at best.

Thanks ... of course, any ideas are welcome if nobody is available to "chat".
