Thanks for the advise

I have Roxio Media Creator 8 and thought that this would always convert everything to the same output.
Are there settings that need to be made for each movie that overide formats in the AVI format that you know off?

I will give the Nero trial version a try to see if they play the previous un-playable... THANKS AGAIN FOR YOUR RESPONSE
