I don't want to use Kazaa as they do put spyware on your machine even though they claim they don't. Please help, what's going on???
i've also scanned my computer multiple times (with Trend Micro) and the only thing i've ever found is a virus called "crack.exe". i'm not sure if that virus has anything to do with any of the things i downloaded form limewire or has anything to do with the limewire problem. but everyday, my computer finds it and deletes it but it just comes back the next day.
there are also these strange files that keep appearing in one of my folders. there's a zip file called "a" and an application called "service.exe". everyday i try to delete these files and the next day, they just keep coming back. this problem started happening around the time when my limewire started doing that popping up thing so i'm guessing the two problems might be related.
my trend micro scanner deletes all of the viruses it finds but the limewire problem still persists.
just today i downloded the newest version of limewire but all of these problems still exist.
i tried downloading the brute force uninstall as suggested on one of the other threads but trend micro said that there might be spyware so i was afriad to download BFU.
i really don't know what to do now. everyone seems to have the same problem and nothing has worked yet.
ANY NEW SUGGESTIONS?
