4. Ignore files less than 2,000 KB (2 MB) as most are spam & many viruses, etc.
Arrange search results by size (click on link)
5. You can use the junk filter to designate files less than 1,000 KB as junk. Select those results in search results & click the trash can icon. Also go to Tools menu > Options > Junk & set them to show at bottom of results.
P2P means that you are sharing from other Hosts just like yourself. There are no central servers, so what you see is what you get. Limewire has no say over what gets on the network. You just have to be very carefull and Read, Read, Read.
As far as Limewire being any safer... There is no such thing when your downloading Copyrighted Material. There are a lot of other means but is one safer than the other????
