The number in the # column (number of identical versions of the file) counts towards the total search results.
So if you had a total of 10 results showing, but only 2 lines on the results page , each with 5 in the # column - there's your 10 results.
Are you using All Types when you search?? If so then you might be seeing two types of Media, say Audio/Documents. Then the results would look like this.
200/would be Audio. Then /205 would be total # of files found. The difference would be 5 Documents that it found. 200/205.
