It it possible that Qtella takes the wrong IP. You can check this at Configuration->Network->Force IP. This must be an official address and not the 192.168...
With the next release 0.5.1 a new IP detection mechanism is included (automatic) which hopefully will detect the right IP.

Currently Qtella seems to be very unstable on Mandrake distributions (maybe relase 0.5.1 is more stable - it is coming this weekend). I have not tested it on Mandrake yet but I'm going to do this as soon as possible.
