1. Some other gnutella clients such as ShareAza, BearShare, Qtella, Morpheus, etc. are either not easy to browse or not possible.
2. If the person does not have their firewall properly configured it will make it difficult to browse them.
3. Strangely, I think from memory LW users need to have Chat enabled for it to be possible to browse them. So look for those with the Chat icon.
Although it is possible to browse those without, it's much more difficult. Oh & this even applies more strictly to those uploading from you in the monitor window. If they have no chat icon, it's basicallly impossible to browse them. Chat icons look like smileys
Right-click (Mac user Control-click) the top of the download window headings to enable a Chat icon column. Apply this to Search results & Uploads headings as well.
4. If the other person's LW is full busy, all upload slots used up & all bandwidth used, it will be very difficult to browse them.
5. There may be other reasons, such as their ISP or ISP's in the hops between you & them that shape or do some type of filtering of p2p that affects browsing & connecting to some other hosts. eg: In USA, many ISP's over-sell their bandwidth, and for other ISP's that have traffic that passes thru them, there may be some limiting. This results in packet losses or even worse.
