I've read the other posts about firewalls. Can't seem to find the answer.
The past 4-6 months I've been behind a firewall. I have Windows Vista. That's all I know. I've already went to the limewire support and tried fixing it that way. Didn't seem to work. The whole 'opening port' thing confuses me and I really have no idea to fix this.

Said I could still possible connect with a firewall, tried it. Didn't work.
Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

I was reading the 'help you help me' thread when I looked back on LimeWire and the firewall was gone and I was connected. I would still like to understand why this is happening.

So..here's a BIT more info...I don't know much of it though.
I have windows vista, I do not know what or if I have an administrator user account.
The only firewalls I believe I have are on LimeWire.
Ram and hard disk space...no idea.
I have dial-up, from home.
Any numbers you want...I don't know how to get them.
I'm not sharing any connections and this firewall happens alot. (The brick wall in front of the blue world icon).
I don't know anything about my router.
Or my securities, I haven't d/l anything onto my computer, but I'm sure my computer came with something.
And...I live in the USA
