Is the same thing happening to the player inside your house? It may be that your car player is not reading them well, else is having problems reading the TOC which lists the details and order of the songs. The TOC is first item burned to a CD which tells the player where to find things on the CD.
Particularly for car players it's important you choose good quality CD-R's, and burn at minimum speed possible. Some car players have problems reading the super fast types of cd-r's, and others the disks that are burnt at high speed. If you have a cd that is only say 1-20 speed, try that instead, and burn at minimum speed it will allow you to.
Oh there may be an issue with the cd-g or whichever format has been used in that the car player doesn't read it properly.
