If the answer is Mac Support, you were attempting to communicate with a total idiot.
If it was the
official LimeWire Support who told you this... Well, the mind boggles to the extent that I am almost certain that you paid for a scam.
Many others have been victims of scam download sites.

I hope I'm wrong and that you actually did deal with the real LimeWire support site and that the person who 'helped' you was on their first day and out before first coffee break !
And, I hope that you have not been scammed !
