Default These are not helpful answers

Though I may have downloaded the virus myself my primary question remains unanswered and that is:

How do I remove this infected Limewire, and the damage it has done, from my computer?
And if it's a legitimate safe version why can't I just "Add/remove programs" as simple as 1-2-3?
And why, oh why, doesn't Limewire even appear on my All Programs list?

It appears to me that the site I was directed to, thru Gnuella, is somehow not right because I can't remove it. Wouldn't this seem so to you?

"My punishment" for using Limewire for free, is mainly Limewire's fault for having no apparent help/contact, unless you are a paying member.

Being not so computer-inclined I assumed that the download I was given was a filter against viruses and "infiltrators" as Limewire warned. After all that was why I wanted to download it to begin with at Limewire's urging.

Limewire should provide the methods for removing vulnerable infected Limewire versions.

Since they don't, I appeal to Gnuella Forums for some sound instruction. So far it hasn't worked out well. And I see few alternatives that I can rely on. the myriad of websites that claim to remove it could be equally insidious. How do I know which is good and which is not? So where does one turn?
